In pig farming: Prevents iron-deficiency anemia in various animals, reduces diarrhea, increases survival rates, reduces difficult births, stillbirths, and abortions, improves immunity and disease resistance, promotes growth and development, strengthens physique, and improves skin and hair color, enhances weight gain and egg production, reduces breakage and soft-shelled eggs, and improves the quality of animal products.b. In pig feed: Studies show that ferrous fumarate is cost-effective and has good results. Feeding sows with ferrous fumarate-containing feed 2 weeks before and 3 weeks after delivery provides iron to piglets through maternal milk, achieving similar weight gain and anemia prevention as muscle injections on the 3rd day after birth. Adding ferrous fumarate also significantly improves piglet skin color and coat condition, with effects increasing with higher doses. This may be due to increased liver iron content, higher serum protein concentration, lower total serum iron-binding capacity, increased myoglobin content in piglet back muscles, and higher zinc levels in the liver and spleen, all contributing to improved skin and coat conditions.
